We got there a little late at a little after noon, I think. Diving was fun, the viz was crap from the rain. The water was 42 I think. Two of the divers in our group of 4 were diving wet. They are HARD CORE if you ask me. Tom and Tracy were both diving wet while Phil and I dove dry. Or in my case semi dry. (neck seal getting replaced next week) All in all, we had a really good time.

Uhm....... Yeah, I think I remember this being the SOP in the AOW class to hold your students down:D

It's in the appendix under "what to do when both hands are busy" :D I had one hand on the line and couldn't get my arm in position to dump my suit while trying to hold him at the stop. :D
Ber :lilbunny:

Steve, you are very skillful diver and also a great dive buddy. Me and my son really enjoyed spending the day with you. Thank you for the dives.......Frank

Thank you! Very kind words. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a cantankerous dive buddy who needs a couple kidney shots in exchange for the ones she delivered.

Hmmmm, does that mean he faked the drysuit problems with me last summer?
And I've tried having a surface buoyancy problem ever since! :rofl3: Help! Help! I'm drifting off the planet!!!! :rofl3: And I have your HHR keys!!!! :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

Interesting...I DID end up having to wrap my legs around his thigh to keep him from shooting to the surface while I dealt with my own suit issue on our safety stop. I'm beginning to think I was bamboozled; a lot of things are starting to make sense now :eyebrow: After all I had one of my newly certified AOW student with me who was doing her first drysuit dive as well. She only had 20 dives in her life and SHE was able to maintain the safety stop with no more than a few inches depth change with each breath while perfectly horizontal and not holding onto the line. Yep, I've DEFINITELY been bamboozled
:D

My old suit had the dump valve in a similar position and trust me, only a contortionist can effectively dump air with the valve there. Get it moved or suffer the same aggravation I did for years. Trust me, whatever it costs it's worth it.
I figured if I roll onto my back and reach behind my head with my left hand, the dump valve should be in about the right position. Of course, I'll need you on top of me to hold me down... :eyebrow: :rofl3:

Might be a good position for a buddy breathing swim too. :eyebrow: We could practice it dry tomorrow night before class. :eyebrow: :eyebrow:

(I think I'm a dead man. :() :evilbunny

EWWWW! Is that what you're calling it now and did we REALLY need to know?
Hey, hey, hey! Keep it clean lady! :rofl3:

I exceeded the permissible number of smilies and had to break the post into two. I guess there's a smily shortage. :D

Suuuuuuurrre! No other way to hold me at the stop. Uh huh. I'm not complaining. I never wanted that safety stop to end. :eyebrow:

Don't they look funny as a group?

:eyebrow: :eyebrow: :eyebrow: :eyebrow: :eyebrow:
