Hi guys,

I just did my TDI deco procedures training and have to say I'm hooked on tech diving, trimix course to come next. I'm currently working as a DM and I want to begin slowly amassing some tech gear of my own rather than hoping my shop will let me use theirs. The only useful thing I have from my recreational setup is a scuba pro mk17/g260 DIN which I plan on using matching for my back gas regs and my computer which has a bottom timer. So my question is which piece of gear should I get first? The regs and gauges, deco regs, backplate/harness/wings etc?

Thanks!

Do you have a dry suit already? If so, I'd go with the BP/wing next. You'll need a good primary and back-up lights too.

BP/W next for sure. that is the base of your tech platform.

36 years of diving and i am STILL amassing gear. Yes, our guest bedroom looks like a (well stocked) dive shop.
