So I was certified 4 years ago and the only doves I've done were the certification dives. I REALLY want to get back into diving. Any recommendations of what I should do? In monmouth county NJ BTW.

Take a refresher course then dive, often. You could use youtube to prep for refresher a bit and maybe get in pool with mask, snorkel and fins. Swim. Refresh water skills a bit. Maybe go to nice dive location like Florida or Carib after refresher...or do refresher there. Dive. Easy.

Definitely do a refresher - after 4 years your skills will be at best rusty if not non existent (you didn't do enough dives to ingrain them as someone more experienced might have).

Then as the poster above says - go dive.

I just realized I already posted this thread a few years back, whoops. Moderators feel free to delete. Thank you to all above.
