I just got a Genesis resource nitrox computer from a friend that no longer dives. I have been trying to get it into nitrox mode but cant seem to do it right. I have looked on the genesis web page but there is nothing for this one on there. They only have the newer react and the air only resource. If any one has the PDF for it that would be great if not could some one just explain how to get it into nitrox mode.
thanks
Derrick

Derrick, What Genesis do you have? The resourse only has one button on the front and doesn't do nitrox nor can you download the data from it. The React has two buttons on the front does nitrox and you can download to a pc.

I myself have a React and it works fine in nitrox mode.

The resource only does air. I have worked with the older models on our rental gear and they do not do nitrox.

I think you may be right. But what is the O2 and graph on the right side of the display
for?

I will get back to you tommorrow with an answer to that. I will take a closer look at one tonight. I have to stop by the shop to pick up gear for a class, and will make a point of checking one out.

Thank you

I was looking on line at the other ones and they did air only but the display was differnt. They have deco depths where I have a green O2 on the outside.

This article talks about the nitrox one

That looks like the same computer as my Oceanic Data 100plus. Here is how to set up the Data100p. In the plan mode, the one you show with "F02" in picture 2, let the computer cycle through it's info until the "F02" is displayed. AS SOON AS YOU SEE F02, press and HOLD the button. You will start to move through oxygen percentages starting at 21%. Release the button slightly ahead of the percentage you want...if you want 32 release the button at 31. If you miss the percentage you want, you can continue to hold the button down and it will cycle through the percentages again. If you release the button and miss your percentage, you have to wait until until it cycles around again and start over holding the button. The computer will start to increase from where you ended the last time. Once you have changed the computer to nitrox you CAN NOT change it back to air until it has reset, 24 hrs later if I remember correctly. Another important thing to remember, if you wait more that 2 hrs to dive, the computer will revert to a safe mode setting it's O2 and N2 to worst case- O2 at 50% and N2 at air. This will really mess up your NDLs and O2 loading, voice of experience. :) Make sure you check the mix and reset it if necessary before each dive. This is really a PITA if you do long SI's and don't intend to change mixes. This will also get you if you "test" your computer several hours before a dive. If you want to dive air during the 24 hrs after your last nitrox dive, just set it to 21%. You can not rest it to air, it has to do that itself and will do so 24 hrs after the last dive.

There are no other settings on the computer for nitrox. The O2 scale will start indicating anytime you change the mixture from the default of air.
That what you need?

Just out of curiosity......how is the battery compartment secured??? Quarter turn method....( a real pos).....three little screws.....or the whole plate screws in??

I have a Resource and a React......the former has the screw in plate or plug....and the latter has three little screws.
