If you haven't been to Gilboa here's some PHOTOS to give you an idea of what to expect.

Thanks for the link! I really appreciate being able to get a little bit of a feel for the location. Were most of those photos taken on days where the visibility was better than usual?

There is some great advice in this thread.

Paula's SI advice is good- plan to drink/eat warm stuff, too. Cup-O-Soup is nice and easy.

Last fall I was freezing between dives- when I took my sweat shirt off I was suddenly much warmer. Why? When I put it on, I was wet, so it absorbed the water. I should have swapped sweatshirts once I dried off more. Lots-O-Sweatshirts.

It really sounds like we can't possibly bring too many sets of warm clothing with us :)

Gilboa's bad day for viz is most quarries' good day for viz. If we don't get a bunch of rain in the next few days, the viz should be good; 30 to 60 ft.+

You're welcome. Those pix were taken over several years so the viz varies. But like Barracuda said, it's usually pretty good.

Unfortunately, it looks like those photos are going to be the closest we'll get to Gilboa this weekend. sigh...

Thats what I'm talking about this is why I come to the MeetNGreets

I'll be Right Back

What's with you and the "I'll be Right Back" bit? Is this a WHATMNGSATMNG thing? I'm such a novice...
