I 2nd the HOME DEPOT heavy duty racks. I found the cost to be reasonable for what you get, and I have my dive gear stored in these racks and they work quite well. Never had any issues with weight, or collapsing. they are well made, and have lasted me years so far.

Thanks for all the suggestions....my issue is not so much one of storage as it is drying. I think I may look at clothes racks like what @tbone1004 has so I can hang wetsuits, wings, and backplates to dry, and use utility cord to make/hang daisy chain loops that I can clip spools, reels, regulators and other stuff to in order to dry. Stuff will go into bins in the off-season for dry storage

It's rated to hold 400lbs. More than enough for anything that hangs.

These work well for gear bins, tanks, and scooters. Can get 3 of the black with yellow lids across per shelf. 1000lb/shelf capacity so you have no problem with bottles. I have a workbench that I built to hold my tanks out of 2x4's and give me a work space as well, but the racks work great.

This update has cost me $100 so far. BUT!!! Crazy excited about the helmet bag idea for my double hose.

I use the same rack to hang gear and have built a shelf from 2x4 for everything else. Each box slides out individually and it's on wheels (now, not in pic) to move around.

Could you post a pic of your setup? there is an Ikea near by that I can see if I can replicate.

Here’s a double high, double deep

DEC5426E-9769-4658-A2DA-37BF03EC9ED8.jpeg

I keep all my single tanks, CCR, DPV, Sorb and associated equipment on this.

I have other racks for more generic pieces (regs, bits & bobs, cameras, etc) as well as a service area.

Hi Zef, If you have enough space go to Gamma and get 2 of these: https://www.gamma.be/nl/assortiment/rek-heavy-duty-810-180x45x45-cm-175kg/p/B626554

Then also get a piece of this: https://www.gamma.be/nl/assortiment/martens-buis-sanitair-glad-grijs-3-m-x-40-mm-x-3-2-mm/p/B463397

And then a wooden broomstick through the pipe. Put this between the 2 racks and you are good to go. That is what I did. Not able to take a photo just now, but it is holding a lot of weight.

I am originally from Holland, so I know which hardwarestores exist in Belgium.

Drysuits are overrated. Chuck 'em and go commando. That's what I did. :D

With our watertemps I'll pass, if I ever i ever move to warm clear water I'll go for it.

To the OP I would design a wood frame design. You can use wood or the shelves you already have for shelves just use wood for cross beams to support them. I would use 2×4 for hanging use metal pipe conduit or wooden dowels. Just make sure to seal the wood well so it doesn't warp.

I would avoid metal pipe for hanging as most would use steel, which can rust. A piece of plastic drainpipe with a broomstick inside for sturdyness is just fine
