Just a random question, but how do you guys pay for all this stuff? I've got my basic gear used, online, and on sale and paid all in cash, but now I'm thinking about putting my drysuit on my credit card. Guess I've got the scuba in my blood now. :)

How? With money ;)

Don't buy top end, don't buy low end. I just replaced my 7 year old BC. Will probably do the same with reg next year. Computer broke and Mares replaced it with an upgrade for $50. Resist the temptation to buy the latest and greatest of everything every year - except for wetsuits, and maybe masks. Oh, and fins.

Just disregard prior statement.
Thank you.

paying for it is easy, explaining to the SO why you need it is the hard part

There are four divers in my household, good thing I am filthy rich!
yea I thought the initial outlay for my self and my son was bad (BC's, Regs, wetsuits, computers..etc) But now I've realized that every time I go on a boat dive, I'm paying for 2 (son is my dive buddy).
Whats worse, my 12 year old just told me he wants to get certified this winter. So when we go on vacation, it will be me and 2 sons spending a fortune underwater while the wife drinks margaritas on the beach. What's wrong with this picture.:11:

For son II, I'll be purchasing from Scubatoys instead of the LDS. I need to shave off a few bucks this time around.
