I'm looking for information on whether the new Garmin X50i will pair with a Garmin T1 transmitter or is a T2 mandatory for it to transmit tank pressures? Conflicting info on the web about this.

Just a guess — I think it would be backwards compatible; but not on “all features” that the T1 can’t assist on (like the buddy air guage)

I’d wait till boot25 for more info to trickle down (unless there’s an awesome preorder deal that’s infront of you through some pre-market channel)

Edit: I also suggest we merge this with other threads that started during dema about the x50 to keep info easily accessible to potential “customers”; OP is that ok for you?

Also, welcome to scubaboard @Couponman

Given that the Mk3 (released with the T2) enables the full capabilities of the T1 as well as the T2, I suspect the X50i will too.

You only need one T2 to get all the capabilities of the T2 (I sidemount with one T1 and one T2).
