Moving the transceiver even further would probably help lessen the ability to hear it, but I don't think it is necessary. Once the transceiver was on the 6" hose I had to purposely try to hear it, it was barely noticeable.
 
Well I hope this unit works well. I've bought one for my son as a gift. I told him to get a Perdix, but he wanted this one.

@coldwaterglutton Dude, send me a list. I'll do a lot of chores for a new dive computer lol

Edit: Growing up chores rarely brought rewards, and that was only when it was something the parents would normally pay to have done, like re-roofing the shed.
 
Maybe I'm just in a bad mood but does it bother anyone else that they waste about 15% of this nice bigger screen by having "Garmin" and blank space on the left side? Yeah, I know having it fill up more space would drain the battery more, but real estate is a premium on a dive computer screen. I would rather use the whole area and have less battery life.

@RobPNW Are you sure that's not only there when it's in like, surface mode or something?
