I've been thru a few high priced testers, but those companies no longer service those models. Now I use a cheaper Sensorcon CO Inspector in a gallon ziplock on the boat. It's not totally accurate with the method, but it'll keep you from getting injured. Then take it back to your room at night to protect you there. Your room will not have a CO alarm, probably not even a smoke alarm, but all hotels have water heaters.
