I went this weekend to finish up a cert. and right now it's green with 5 foot of viz. We were told Friday everything was fine. It's okay for advanced cavern, cave divers, and I get it, it's a business, but it's not fine for open water classes.

Once past the first 40 ft. of silty green it's pitch black and still silty, probably because no one can see the bottom in the entry and it's getting kicked to hell. Basically, if you want to know what it feels like in a silt out in a cave, this is it. You cannot see light until you come out of the cavern and are at the platforms. I'm told the back of the cavern is clear, but again, there is no light.

Florida has had so much rain the entire deck is underwater. I know a lot of people plan special trips to dive it, so you should know it probably won't be back to normal until the fall when the rain slows down.

I wonder if there is anymore concern of any additional collapse from all the rain. I was there the weekend before the collapse and have not been back since.
