curious to hear opinion on those two and comparison since now the FXCCR being out for a little while. What are the pros and cons on these specific unit!

Have almost zero input to weight on both (nor experience), but the FX/xccr bayonet connections are very cool/practical design choice from what I hear from an xccr user

Just the 1/2 cent I got 😅

Just a suggestion...

A good question for people considering a new 'investment' in this category.

I am seeing a lot of CMOptimas out there, and people like them.

FX looks really good, I am curious how many are actually out there? How many people outside of the company have been able to dive it? (Beyond a 'try dive')

Lots of nice design new features on the FX

The special 'external' Choptima counterlung positioning looks like it might be designed to ease breathing in more orientations.

Is the Choptima lighter than the FX? The Choptima says "14.4 pounds (without oxygen cylinder or scrubber material)," whereas the FX says "Travel weight: 24 pounds." Is there really a 10 pound difference?

This reply of mine is going to be pretty useless without ‘hard’ data, but the FX, with a 2 litre carbon, feels marginally heavier than my Triton with a 1.5 litre ali, & both ready to dive.

I, quite literally, just weighed my Choptima today for another, similar thread. The weight of the disassembled unit (no scrubber media, no O2 bottle) was 14 lbs. 8 oz.

what do folks in your area that you dive with use and what shops service carry what in your area. Not about "best" equipment, it is about what best fits into your scene from a supportability and interchangeability perspective.
