You were blessed. I've never seen a hammerhead there yet though we did have a lovely thresher one morning. I'm doubtful that I would bother to make those early morning dives again. So many if them for nothing, other than the breathing underwater which I love and FOMO.

At least your experience tells me that it is indeed a possibility rather than a myth.

I will be diving with Fuvahmulah Dive School for 12 diving days with a good dive buddy from the UK November December 2024.
My buddy has dived there before and see hammerheads and other interesting critters. Tiger sharks yes like the harbor area for the fish giveaway.

We rented an apartment for 13 nights for US$1k including airport transfers and included use of a 150cc scooter. I know it's a small island lol. Good that we have a kitchen to use. I'm flying Singapore Airlines Taipei Singapore / Singapore Male. Then next day Male to Fuvahmulah.

Tatiana said that they found Thresher Shark cleaning station that reminds me of Kimud Shoal, Malapascua, Philippines.

Thanks I hope to see that when I am there later this year. Wonderful video link thanks.

I’ll be there in 17-20 February 2025, before heading to Kooddoo for 10-day liveaboard trip with Blue Voyager from 20 February to 2 March. If anyone is interested in joining me, DM me and I can add you to the group trip. Tatiana said it’ll be $1078 for 6 dives on 18 & 19 February, including 3-night stay in Zero Degree Residence, flight from Male to Fuvahmulah and a boat transfer from Fuvahmulah to Kooddoo.
