I'm interested in this as well. Unfortunately, Canadian schools don't have any programs at all. Florida state offers a fairly comprehensive one and I think Texas A&M does as well. I'm looking at schools in the UK. Univ of Southampton.

ECU-East Carolina University has a great Marine Program.

I did a project with Texas A&M in 2002 off Texas with the Institute of Nautical Archaeology and spent the last eight months diving Florida Keys wrecks while I worked through my DM and instructor courses. Now I'm back in school (TN) but will be heading down to the Keys in March for a week.

University of West Florida also has a Master's Programin Historical Archaeology. You can choose a concentration in Marine or Terrestrial, or you can do both.

Texas A&M has all kinds of marine biology and oceanography studies. I'm fairly sure marine archeology is there as well. You might also consider A&M's branch campuses in both Galveston and Corpus Christi.

The Institute of Nautical Archaeology is at the College Station Campus. George Bass is still in charge. Admissions are highly competitive. The program is subdivided into Old and New World Studies and they offer Graduate and Doctorate degrees in underwater archaeology. Among their field projects are a 5thcentury BC wreck off Turkey (they have a museum in Bodrum). Check out their webpage. You can search INA from the www.tamu.edu webpage. Hope this helps.
