TS&M's issues are the very reason I ordered a patch kit from Dive Right In Scuba a while back. I have had no reason to use the kit - but I like the idea that if I need it, it's there

This is good thinking jridg, it better to be pro-active then reactive, it's for this same reason that we carry a save a dive kit, or spare o-rings. You just never know, so it's better to be prepared.

Hello Yankeestudent, to help you figure this out I just need some info, first I need to know which dealer you are going through so that I can assist them as well on your suit, and any possible future suits, second, I need to know what type of patch they are using? Lets get this figured out and get you back into the water.

Hey yankeestudent, glad to hear the patch kit is on the way, the sooner we can get you back in the water the better. Also TSandM the best thing I would recommend in place of the Gorilla tape would be to order a patch kit directly from your local dealer. They retail for $40.00 and would be more durable I would assume then the tape, having never tried it myself. Hope this helps a little, if you guys have any questions or concerns please do not hesitiate to give us a call.

I have bad news for you Fusion owners - I bought a patch kit from Dive Right In Scuba when I ordered my demo Fusion. I found a teeny -- and I mean teeny -- pinhole.

So, I tried the directions in the Fusion manual --didn't work. I have a decent hairdryer, too. I finally tried an iron - a good 30 seconds and lots of pressure. Still no hold. I hardly tried to lift the patch, I just bent the material, and up popped the patch.

So -- THANK YOU, TSandM!!!!! (I'd thank your post but SB enacted some stupid limits on the button.)

I will go buy the Gorilla tape immediately.

The patch kit works, and works beautifully. A heat gun or hot hair dryer works. You would need to clean both the patch and the area to be patched with MEK or an Acetone cleaner. After that, apply the patch. Turn on your hair dryer or HIGH...and let it run for a minute to get hot. Swirl it around over the patch a couple inches. Swirling will prevent burning a hole...you will see the patch start to shrink into the material and take hold. Be sure to use a roller or something to press the two materials together....fingers work, but it burns After a minute or two, it will be fully attached and permanent. If the corners come up, heat them up and press them down again.

You can DIY, but you bought the suit from us, we will take care of it for you
