I just got my new hero2 with the dive housing, and I have logged 2 dives during which I shot some experimental footage. I was really curious about the white balance, since my old large setup could do manual white balance, and here in the great white north with green water, that was what worked best. I am using a pink "green filter" from my old aquatica setup mounted in front of my gopro. I have two 900 lumen LED lights for illumination. The visibility on both dives was around 15' so don't look for artistic merit. I included shots originally with no filter and adjusted post in Sony vegas using the White Balance plug in.
The results are encouraging.
