The CCR's computer is hooked up to O2 sensors and it adjusts the amount of diluent and pure O2 added to your breathing gas so that you maintain PO2 at the desired level.

Actually the computer and sensors only respond to O2 levels and do nothing to control the diluent. That is a function of loop pressure in relation to ambiaent. Too low and it will inject dil, too high and it will vent gas.

Thanks for correcting that. Like I said, I only got the "discover scuba version" of rebreathers so I am certainly not an authority on the subject. :D

If I am lucky and the university goes ahead with this, hopefully I'll get the "real" training someday.
