Another information... bad for Maldives (as Maldives is one of the most vaccinated country in the world, proof that vaccination does not mean end of the virus) :

I am currently in the Maldives, I heard Ramadan could be the culprit of increased infections as locals are/were meeting regularly in the mosques throughout the month.
 
The recent surge in Singapore(airport), Taiwan(hotel) and Thailand(entertainment area) demonstrated the spreading of the infection from a relative confined areas.
Same for religious(eg India, Indonesia, Malaysia and South Korea) gathering.
