Gary D.:
There is a nose block in most and others have nose pockets to take care of the problem. So pinching one's nose is not an issue.

Good points, However, the nose blocks I've seen don't mate well with all noses.

You can adjust them to fit almost any nose.

I think that most of the negative responses are from those that haven’t 1. Given them more than a time or two try. 2. Not been instructed in the unit’s proper use. Or 3. Are grouping ALL full face masks into the same category which they aren't all the same.

DandyDon:
Do they come in bifocals?

I think they'd be good for pushing MOD on Nitrox. OxTox still possible, but you won't drown.
What makes you think you won't drown with a FF?

So how do those features actually compare to an AGA mask which is what 90% of the public safety divers wear?

I use them at work. I could dive tham all I wanted recreationally free of charge. I dive bite reg scuba when I'm diving recreationally, as does every PSD I know. \
Man up. Bite reg is not that cold.

You are right, that was just my opinion of the mask that I used. We used it on about 6 dives with training from Escambia Search and Rescue on the first 2 dives. Even with the nose pieces adjusted I had a hard time getting them to my nose. I had to push the mask up and in quite a bit to make it work. My dive buddy didn't have a problem with his except that it used lots of air.

There is no comparison.

I've tried both the Interspiro "AGA" mask as well as the Ocean Reef mask. I gave them both a fair shake before coming to my conclusion.

I think that the Ocean Reef mask has some issues. What I found was when you look up, it feels as though you are sucking the gas through a straw - but when you look down it wants to free flow so I found myself constantly trying to adjust the regulator rather than enjoy my dive! I also found that the visor fogged up on me. I can see now why this would not be the mask of choice for Military/Commercial/Public Safety Divers!! To be honest, I can't see why a recreational diver would choose this mask over an AGA.

The AGA mask proved to be a much better mask in my opinion. I found that the skirt sealed perfectly on my face and is very comfortable. The mask has never fogged up on me and I even have the OTS surface breathing valve. I give the Interspiro regulator an A+ compared to the Ocean Reef. I have found it to be trouble free and like the fact that I don't need any specialty tools to troubleshoot it.

After trying both masks I bought the AGA. I have a feeling that most people buying the Ocean Reef mask have not tried anything different! Hope this helps.
