Ft. Sill, OK - anyone there?

The Army changed the orders and doesn't send us to Ft. Campbell KY/TN.
They send us to Ft. Sill, OK instead.

Does anyone live there?
Any info on "how" is living there?

Dont know about the base but the town is fairly laid back. Im on the other side of the state but every time I have been there I enjoyed it. There is a town not far from there called Lawton and its more less the epicenter for the things to do around that area.

Hope someone has better and more up to date information then I do.

That's too bad. Did 3 years at Campbell, Nashville is great. Spent 2 months at Sill a couple years ago doing some pre mob training. Not a great place to be a pilot. Good luck, and make the best of it.

Went to basic there 6 years ago. The base is a typical military base. The weather gets hot as hell. Can get very severe too. Towns around the base seem spread out.
