We are going (the family) to Florida again in May and my wife decided to check out the Sanibel Island area. I know with all the divers on this board that some of you are familar with the diving possibilities for the area (Walter?).

Sanibel website gives "Sea Horse Scuba" as a dive operator in the area. Are they good? Are there other operators that are recommended?
We will be spending a weekend there and I would like to get in at least two dives in the area.

TIA

He lives in the Ft. Myers area and is familiar with beach/boat dive spots.

Diving in the Gulf off Ft. Myers is excellent, but I don't recommend it for beginners. May is possibly the best time to dive here. The water has started to warm up and the rains haven't started, so viz is generally better. I've heard of Sea Horse, but have not personally used them. Send me a PM, we'll discuss specifics including the cprrect spelling of Ft. Myers. (yes, I edited your post)
