Ft Lauderdale in Feb

Folks,work is requiring me to go to south Fla in Feb for a week. I have not been to Ft Lauderdale but my gear check list is being written.

My question is, I would like to know a what hotel is convient to the convention center and a dive operation? My preferance lies with Hilton,Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites.

Who would you recommend for a night dive? Or is the local club active during weekday nights?

My favorite operator is Mike Halprin's Sea Horse, but I don't know if he does night dives unless chartered.

Any body from that local area dive club let me know if ya'll do week night excursions, and dont mind a strap hanger.
