Thinking about heading down to Ft. Lauderdale the week after Christmas. Saw this hostel listed on a site. Does anyone know about it. Also, can someone recommend a good dive op to use for some boat dives. We're AOW with about 30 dives, half of those in Coz., 9 from Pompano Beach.

Hey crgoode,

Three of us are also going to be in Ft. Lauderdale after Christmas. As I understand it, most of the good diving is further north (Pompano or Dearfield Beach). Unfortunately, we don't have the time to make this trip so I found an operator based in Ft. Lauderdale. Don't know whether they are any good, but seemed the only option. Here is the information...

We are booked with them for Thursday, 1/2. If your still in town we may need more divers since there are only three of us and the op said they would either need a fourth, or we pay the extra.

thanks, but wife's saying she can't get the time off. Don't know now whether we'll be going or not. Are you aware that Pompano Beach is only 10 miles north of Ft. Lauderdale? If you can go that much farther check out this site http://members.tripod.com/~missconduct/index.html
They say they'll go with as few as 2, no more than 6.

Sorry Norda but some of the best wreck and reef diving in south Folrida is right here off the Ft. Lauderdale coast. We have great diving, hence the reason I moved here 5 years ago. The weather might not be the best this time of year, we've been having alot of rain lately, but the diving is fantastic!

Please let me know when you guys are actually going to be here and maybe we can all get together and get wet. I've got several guys that I work with that are itching to get wet.

BTW check out Pro Dive. I've been diving with them for the 5 years I've lived here and also did my Instructor training with them. Their boat is the best in the area and the staff is very professional.
