ft. lauderdale dive conditions

Sorry for the amateur question but I'm new to diving but I'm eager to get out there and get some practice. Was thinking of doing a beach dive but not sure if the conditions are good for it with the recent cold fronts. Any insight would be appreciated also any good resources that I could check myself in the future. Thanks.

Welcome to the board!

This has been the best January in quite a few years. The last few weekends has been like a lake out there and the vis has been phenomenal. If low to mid 70s water temps are ok for you then you will have a great time.
