Thanks for all the replies and thank you SDIVER. I will give you my information. I wear size 10.5 shoes most of the time. One pair of dive boots I have are 11 (warm water boots) and another pair are 10 (5mm boots). The size 11 is what I used with these fins in Guam. I have found that with a lot of fins, my shoe size is right in between a large and an XL. With these, the Large were going to be too small for my boot/foot combo. So basically, I used a 3mm boot that is size 11 with my 10.5 size foot and I was at the lower end of the range of fitting. There would be plenty of room for something larger. I would think that anything thicker than 3mm would fit as well. Hopefully this helps. I just got a pair of 5 or 6mm boots that are size 10 as well. I could take a picture of my foot in the boots with the boots inside the fin if it would help. Let me know.

As for shipping to AK, I was stationed in AK for three years. If I am not mistaken, is USPS priority mail still the best way to ship to AK? I know ground shipping used to be iffy. I could always get an estimate for shipping after I weigh the fins and we can go from there. If nothing else, I could see what it would cost to ship via ground within CONUS and then you cover anything beyond that. Let me know if you would like any other information or photos. Thanks.

Randy

Thanks for the info, but I think those might be too big for me. I wear a 9.5 wide. I'm a little bummed, because these were the ones I was looking at and it sure is a great deal. FYI, yes, USPS Priority is the best way to get things to AK. Just curious, but where were you stationed? I was at Ft. Wainwright from 97-01, than ETS'd and stayed here.

I was at Eielson from '99 to '02. I used to play hockey every Friday at Wainwright. It was always fun to talk smack with the Army guys we played with every week. I also had an Air Force weather buddy that was stationed at Wainwright. He loved it. Too bad about the fins. They would probably be a little big unless you were using a drysuit boot or a large soled 6mm wet boot. I just got a pair of larger soled boots to help fill out some other fins since my feet are always right in between sizes.

I worked the ER at Bassett, so if either of you was ever injured, there is a good chance that we met! I am a teacher on Eielson, now. Coincidentaly, I play hockey as well. As a matter of fact, my team won the men's league championship last year with three AF guys on our team. Amazingly small world we live in!
