This is RI after all! I think if you look close he's putting his hood on over his mask strap. A common practice here in low vis ocean. Sometimes we're so close to either other someone's mask gets kicked.

Well I should have brought my dry suit! About 6-8 divers were diving dry so nobody wore the wennie hat! I broke the zipper on my wet suit so I didn't dive. Lots of good food so I ate! Lots of diving going on. I'd guess 20-25 divers.

I went on EBay looking at 7MM long sleeves step-in jackets to replace the one with the broken zipper.

Well I came across “ZIP-FIX IND Repair Zippers No Sew, zipfixtoo Ebay user ID” for $16.95 total I got a metal locking slider to replace the plastic non-locking slider that I broke new years day. Also included were several stops and staples and instruction that weren’t as good as the product. A short viewing on youtube gave me the information I needed.

The cheap plastic construction was on actually on my side. I smashed the plastic stop at the top of the zipper, slid the broken slider off (a little force is need here) and slid the new one on (not much force needed) got the new brass stop in the right place and crimped it with a pair of pliers. Then the same way I smashed the plastic stop but with less force I put a small hammer on top of the stop and hit it with a bigger hammer to “seal the deal” it works fine and now I have a serviceable jacket again. I love happy endings!
