Hello all, I am planning my first trip with a friend of mine next March. I had an idea to go visit the Harbour Village webcam so my family back home could see me. I know its a private beach so my idea was to enter at Front Porch and head south staying shallow trying to find it. Will this work or anyone have directions to find it? Figured it would be pretty cool to wave at my kids!

It's maybe 80m south of the Eden Beach dock, then another 80m or so southeast to the webcam. So maybe 10 minutes of gentle swimming. The depth is about 5m.

We did it from Something special. Murky crossing boat channel. There's is a rope or chain to follow across.

Dangerous crossing. Need to be very careful NOT to surface!
That was what was suggested to me but I will be with a someone unexperienced diver so the idea of going North from Something Special seemed risky, but if there is a rope there might make it doable. Still don't like the idea if something happened and we had to surface on the other side of the channel it would be long walk back to get our truck!

There is an old fishing boat wreck (sank in 2004) in the channel (at about 45 ft depth) that you can get to from Something Special along that line on the bottom. Again, you do NOT want to surface while visiting the wreck. It was worth the danger for about 8 years, but the deterioration now is almost complete and the wreck it self is also very dangersous with a lot of spinters and hanging cables and siores for entanglement. Nor worth it.

It is a shorter and more enjoyable and safer dive to visit the HV webcam from Eden Beach/Front Porch.
