hello everyone. I played around with some scalloping last year and have now advanced myself into scuba. I thought lobster was going to be a cool thing to go after but then I just recently had my first stone crab from a friend and loved it! I got myself certified by Narcosis in Tarpon Springs and am certainly looking forward to more diving. I am an avid fisherman on both the salt and freshwater and do it mostly from an 18 foot all welded boat. I would like to learn where I can go to find some lobster and now some Stone crab. I came across this site after Googling for Stone crab was introduced to the GTBA site by Missdirected... thanks :)

My background is retired military, Navy and Army for 23 years. I performed Anti-Submarine Warfare and Search and Rescue for the Navy then Field Artillery for the Army. I live in Land O' Lakes and am willing to travel to meet up with some of you to enhance my experience in scuba.

Happy New Year to all...Tim

If you want to charter a boat in the Hudson FL area you should use Capt Earl with Wet Yet charters. His site is here: home
We just had an AWESOME spearfishing trip on Saturday with him. He knows his spots and is very reasonable $$.

Another great charter capt in the St. Pete area is Capt. Ty. You can find him here:http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/members/capt.+ty.html

Welcome aboard!

Hey Tim - glad you found our area :thumbs-up Let me know when you want to do some crabbing. We can try out by the skyway or something. Certainly before season is over.

I saw you and a friend are coming to the Meet&Greet - great way to get to know some of your future dive buds! See you there :)

Oh and if you think you are liking the scalloping and crabbing, just wait until you get into spearfishing - oh mama :yeahbaby:

Better get something going quick, stone crab season ends in the middle of May.
