I'd like to learn how to frog kick. I did a search on "frog kick" here and came up with a huge number of threads but didn't see any headers that looked like they would tell me how. Can anyone provide me a link to an instrucitonal video or describe the basic kick? Thanks so much!

(frog kick)

Youtube is a where I go to look this kinda stuff up. Just be picky on what you accept as bonafide.

If you want something you can watch in full size, with some explanations, you can purchase the Essentials DVD from the UTD website. It has other things as well, like good trim, modified frog and flutter kicks, helicopter turns and I believe the back kick as well.

I purchased the the essentials DVD some time ago and was disappointed. It has plenty of good video of divers w/ excellent technique but no actual instruction to speak of.

Thanks, Lynne. I've ordered the DVD. Larry

Hi,
Found this one, only in dutch.
Frogkick.nl
Go to "Technieken" in the menu, then select frogkick.
there you will find some links to view the frogkick.

I would recommend you get with someone up there who knows how to do the kick properly and can guide you through it above water and below. I learned mine from my mentor by being put on his coffee table and working on the feel of the kick and how my body needs to be positioned in trim. Then we hit the pool. Once you get it, it then becomes the kick you tend to use alot. My challenge is doing the reverse of it to propel backwards, it's harder than it looks!

Good luck!
