to all the ontario fresh water freaks, like myself, I am interested in hearing a GOOD story about your diving experience. So, I myself could learn from that situation and perhaps be more aware on how to handle myself in certain circumstances! Being a novice diver and all.:scuba:

...I have been on :D ....But I guess you were looking for something different than that?

Had fishing line wrapped around my fins during a training dive with Bottom_Sucker.....I calmly caught his attention ( he was a little ahead of me) and showed him a sawing motion and pointed to my feet ( thank goodness he didn't perform and amputation
;) ) And than cutr the fishing line away from my fins ...The line BTW was caught on the fin buckles......about 30fsw...

And we twisted around so much getting the line cut off that I lost my compass bearing and missed the target by a looooonnnnngggg way. Given the minor difficulty getting to the knife strapped to lower calf, I have been giving some thought to relocating or getting spare and attaching to BC or forearm. I never dive without it either, have only needed it that one time so far, but I'll be diving with Butch103 again and therefore need to be prepared.

I had the same thing happen to me just a few days ago...down with Ontario Diver....he saw the line...I didn't. Fortunately, the line snapped before I could get to it; now I know how a fish feels!! He would have had to use my very dull, yet accessable knife to free me (Note to self...get out the sharpening stone).
Randy...
BTW, we were about 25 ffw:D

Hey Randy....

I didn't need you dull knife.

I had mine - which was dull untill CanuckDiver sharpened it for me the day before!
