I'm a Fish!
I've searched everywhere I can think and the only thing that I can find is Ecomarine on Utila. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any other Freediving courses being offered anywhere in the Bay Islands?

the guy on utila (apnea) is supposed to be great. everyone seems to see an amazing difference in the amount of time they can stay down after his course.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't doubting his ability at all, just wondering if there was anything on Roatan as that's where I will be spending the majority of my time. Definitely planning on a couple days over on Utila to check him out.

I believe he was on shooting videos w/ Tim Blanton on Roatan in the Feb-Mar time period.

He's a friend of mine and has been around awhile. Also a member of this board. He has been coming over from Utila to assist with apnea teaching on Roatan. He is affiliated with Ecomrine on Utila and works with www.roatansplashinn.com on the West End. His name is Mark Rogers and famously known as "TEX". You can contact either dive op and they'll porbably help out. Or, better yet, send him a PM on this board.

If you can't find Mr Rogers there is another option. We contacted PFI and they sent an instructor here to Belize. You need to get at least 5 or 6 students to take the course. I would guess that FII will provide the same service.

I didn't know Tex did freediving courses...he's a real fish!! and a great instructor!

and if you ever need a massage, tex' girlfriend wei does an amazing job, highly recommended.

Thanks for all the helpful info everyone, I will definitely give him a shout. Massages? How'd you know? I was often ridiculed by coworkers in Bali for getting them 3 times a week. Maybe I'm just indulgent but how do you pass up $5/hr full body massages? :D Thanks again.
