Free Diving record is about to be broken, 703' deep?

I had no idea that diving anywhere even close to that depth without oxygen was possible. A friend of mine was telling me about a diver named Seb aka "The Sub" that was going for the record in June. Crazy stuff, I can't even imagine.

Here's a link, I shared it with some of my reef friends because I thought they'd like to see some of the corals in the quick video posted. For some reason they are calling it The French Job, I think this guy is diving in France or something?

Not sure, the video never really flat out said it. I think they mentioned 3mins when he was doing the weighted static dive.

7:53 says the entire dive lasts about three minutes. That's not the record dive, but that should be the general time of the record.

He could hold his breath up to eight minutes (0:56). Impressive!

"No limits" freediving involves dropping like a rock on a weighted sled then rocketing to the surface using some sort of inflation device

in the video g1138 posted starting at 55 seconds it says he will slow his heart rate to 15 beats per minute and will hold his breath for 8 minutes
