Hey Gang!

We're headed to Indiana for some camping and diving July 16-17 if anyone wants to join us!

I am thinking either France Park or Blue Springs on that weekend. I am the first replier though. Do you know any GLWC members who are interested in your plan?

I know that Dive4christ will be there.

I am going to be in the area as well that weekend. Hoosier and I were talking about doing blue springs on the 16th. It's up to him where he would rather dive, I will just follow. I am however available on the 17th and wouldn't mind diving france park that day.

Hope to see you on the 17... Have you ever dove localy???
I sure haven't. I mostly dive cold lakes and quarries with low viz so I assume I will be right at home.. :) I will definately be there the 17th. As of right now I think hoosier and I are still on for the 16th at blue springs. That is if he doesn't decide to change the date/place.

I am going to come up that sun morning. just remember the viz might be down just alittle as the beach will be open for swimmers

I assume with what is left of dennis rolling through as well it will be down. I am just hoping for 5', anything more and I will be happy.

What time does France Park open up on Sunday and what time are you planning on being up there? Any idea if they have nitrox fills or atleast Oxygen Compatable Air/Pureair/Hyperfiltered air so it wouldn't kill the o2 clean rating on my cylinders? I kind of doubt it, but it is worth asking. I know after talking with Hoosier blue springs doesn't. I could either just rent tanks at france park Sunday morning if they don't have a clean airfill station for o2 clean cylinders, or try to find a LDS that is still open after diving on Sat. and get my tanks refilled. I have a feeling I will just be renting a few tanks come Sunday (do they have rentals at france park?). Just trying to get all my gas squared away. Looking forward to diving with ya'll this weekend, even if viz is down.

Matt.

Like we set up previously, let's meet at BS this Saturday. I will bring all my tanks so that you don't need to worry about any O2 issue , at least on Saturday.

As to France Park, here is their regular hours: http://www.diving-den.com/
=====================================
REGULAR HOURS FOR DIVING France Park hours: June through September, 9 am to 5 pm. Call for special arrangements to dive on dates and times other than our regular hours, 765-452-1034. Diving Den hours: 9 am to 6 pm, Monday thru Friday. 10 am to 5 pm, Saturdays; Closed Sundays.
====================================

I am sure they will open this coming Sunday as a special arrangement. But, I am not sure if you can get the air refill at the site.

You had better contact "Diving Den" or send PM to Ber Rabbit for the more detail information.

The LDS for the nitrox refill used to be closed at Saturday 5 p.m. So, if we make an early morning dive, you have a plenty of time to get an air refill. I will give the shop name and direction when we met.

See you on Saturday.

Thanks Hoosier for the great info! I had thought I might have some time to make it out to get my tanks filled. Thanks again! I will see you at BS Sat. morning.

Is everyone sure France Park will be open on Sunday for diving?

Matt

Diving hours are Sat/Sun and Holidays 9am-6pm. My guess is the air isn't O2 compatible at $5 per fill for an 80cf. They have some rental stuff there but I'm not sure how much or how current the prices are that are posted on the France Park website. Go to "Activities" and scroll down the page for the Scuba info. If Hoosier has enough tanks you might be better off just filling at France Park, we dove there Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and had no trouble getting fills.

Looking forward to seeing you there! PM me if you want to exchange cell phone info but I don't think the signal was very good at the park.
