I know you're not supposed to laugh at your own jokes but I think I really pulled a good one on a colleague today.

First a little background. At the moment I'm working in an office that consists entirely of flexstations. That's just a desk and computer and you can sit wherever you want. Most day's I'm in the same wing but never at the same spot twice. I like it because you get to sit near new people all the time.

Today I was sitting across from a colleague of mine. We've worked in the same company since 1998 but this is the first time we've both been assigned to the same client. This guy is probably God's gift to project management. It could be raining fire straight from the darkest corner of hell and he's always (and I mean *always* calm-cool and collected). As long as I've known him he's never been anything other than perfectly polite and easy going.

So today I decided to see how he would react to someone who wasn't.... :crafty:

So I gave him a little of my acting. I started by acting surprised and irritated and mumbling words that would all turn out in stars on Scubaboard.....

Then I sat behind my computer and pretended to write an email while "mumbling" out loud to myself while I wrote.... and I said something to the effect of I sure bloody hope I can calm down before we go into that meeting because if you were sitting here right now I would suck spinal fluid out of your ear while your colleagues gave me points for style".

Then I got up and stormed away from my desk.

When I got back he was already discussing it with a couple other guys down the halll..... LOOOL

(I did email my client to let him in on the joke so if it reached the rumour mill I'll be ok)

Damn I'm good. I'll let him off the hook on Monday.... :D

And the next thing we're going to see is a thread on, "New employment wanted"?

I have this fantasy of my last ER shift ever. I'm going to say what I think to everybody I deal with -- staff or patients. It's a delicious scenario.

Of course, I'd never really do it.

You got to do a little of it, even if feigned. Lucky you!

That's hilarious!

If I tried that at my office, my co-workers would just think it was a normal day for me.

Yeah A while back the new guy was trying to give me a hard time and had pushed me over the edge when he infront of a supervisor asked..."and what am I supposed to do with that? you take care of it" Before I could bite my tongue it slipped... "FINE THEN BENDOVER" My boss laughed and the new guy had this puzzled look on his face. Has been referred to as new storage solutions between me and my boss.
