To keep it short...my partner and I were cruising along at about 26 feet when I spotted something sticking out of the sand/silt on the bottom. Thirty dollars! To claim it as your lost dough, provide the denominations and serial numbers. :D

How was the viz at Murray?

Oh brother......... :)

LOL... yeah. I did my cert dives there. Bad thing about Murray... is that the diving near the Tower is actually rather interesting. BUT... when you can only see an armlength in front of you, trying to enjoy it can be a challenge.

We only dove out of "ghost cove" on the northern end of Marietta Landing. There, from the surface to the first thermocline (about 26 feet), vis was pretty decent, about 8-10 feet. From there down, vis continued to get worse and worse. At 45 feet, it was 2-3, so we gave up on it improving and just cruised the shoreline at about 25 feet or so, hence the discovery of the money. (Which, incidentally, will NEARLY replace the dive knife I lost at Lake Possum Kingdom yesterday!)

Keep digging-it might be the top of a US galleon..:)
