Does anyone know which are the closest dive shops or Marina's to Lauderdale by the sea. I am off to do some beach diving next weekend and will be staying right by the pier in LbtS, but would like to do a couple of boat dives too.

I had checked deep blue divers website as they have a store nearby- but I think they just charter boats. Any advice?

They're all in Pompano but I think "Ocean Promotions" ,at the sprawling pink place, has a van to take you there. Its the same price whether you book it through them or not.

There aren't any dive boats near Commercial Blvd and the Intracoastal because it's too far from either of the inlets.

www.scuba-school.com. Tell him Oliver sent you and to get my
regulator ready. I need it for Nassau next weekend. He'll get it. Good folk. :)

I'll second that vote for The Scuba School. I stumbled upon them during one of our trips down there (my folks have a place right nearby). Went in looking for a new mask and snorkel, and got spent quite a while speaking with Jennifer about underwater videography, local charters, etc. Very helpful folks -- and very enthusiastic (I guess it would be hard NOT to be enthusiastic about diving in such a location!).

They are near the intersection of Commercial and Oakland Park Blvd. -- across from the Howard Johnson's across from the Galt Ocean Mile.

i also second scuba school for a good dive shop but uh curly is mistaken as to the location. they are off A1A/Oakland Pk Blvd in the plaza with the Walgreens on the northeast corner.
