Police are investigating the drowning death of a 59 year old Fort Lauderdale man that occurred on Saturday 1st March 2014.
Preliminary information indicates that shortly after 2:00pm the victim was on a diving expedition along with his wife and several other persons in waters off Stuart Cove in the South Ocean Beach area when he is alleged to have drowned. The victim was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances around this alleged drowning.
