Here is my short three minute video with my encounter with a big green moray eel on my Fort Lauderdale reef dive from late June. The reefs were beautiful and seemed healthy. My dive buddy found this moray hiding in this crevice. I shot about a minute and a half of video just hover over top and thinking, "Don't come up here, just don't come up here." Fortunately, the eel stayed put.

You should have grabbed it's tail...just don't poke at his nose...I got bit doing that
 
I have been getting this question by a few people:

Why didn't you get closer?

Answer:

I didn't want to.

I was not born and raised in the ocean reef water like some of you and am very obviously inexperienced when it comes to reef life. Until what time I get better adapted to it, I like to look, but at a distance.
