I've just moved to Hollywood, Fl from Indianapolis, last month. Havn't had a chance to go diving yet but does anyone have any recommendations on dive sites, shops, charters, etc. Also looking for any dive buddies interesting in diving. Don't own all equipment yet; looking for best brands or shops to buy from. Since I've just graduated from college, money is a bit short right now; used equipment would be great.

They are located at 1530 Cordova Rd, Ft. Lauderdale (just off 17th street). They have what you need and an excellent staff.
I have not been disappointed with their service.

Dive safe.

I dove on the Lady Go Diver out of Dearfield Beach last time I was down there and had a great time. If you want to get in touch with them do a search on the board and you should be able to find the contact information.

A buddy of mine dove with Pro Diver in Lauderdale and had good things to say about them as well.

As far a shops go I haven't really shopped there for equipment but I have been in Brownies and Lauderdale Dive is just across 17th street in that shopping center. Pro Diver has a nice shop on down the road toward the beach. In the shopping center in Dearfield Beach where the Lady Go Diver docks is Dixie Divers. I have been in those shops and the staff in all of them have been very friendly, but, do your research on what gear you want.

I am sure there are many other but those are all within walking distance to the hotel I stay in for conferences or near the boat so they are the ones I saw.
