could the forum listings be something like 'T - Feedback and Suggestions' or 'T2T -
Wreck Diving''? that way, while clicking 'new posts', you'd know when the 'cave diving' that came up was open or closed.

ooh, and no way to edit your posts here? adding that would be nice.

Just add the Tek to Tek forum to your CP and click on the view all new posts link. That will bring you directly to this forum so there is no mistake.

Agreed it would be a nice feature.

yes, rob, thanks - but i meant a way to distinguish what you were about to respond to if you came by 'new posts'. i know, read the listing at the top of the page, but i was thinking something before you even clicked the thread.

So something along the lines of

Tek to Tek
  • T2T - Cave
  • T2T- Ice & Cold Water
  • T2T - Wreck
Etc?

This bug came up last night. I *thought* it was fixed, but I'm still learning what some of these new buttons do. I may have to have someone else take a look. I've noticed a few "bugs" with the new User Group "Tech Diver" that I'm working on resolving.

Let me know if any more are noticed. In the meantime, if you need something edited, send me a PM quoting the post, with the affected changes done and I'll replace your post with the new material.

i know everyone navigates differently. this likely only affects the way i do it, so if others don't navigate this way you might not know where i'm coming from. the way larry navigates would drive me bonkers, but anyway...

hit the 'new posts' in the red & blue strip across the top of the screen. see on the far right of that listing, how it puts what part of the forum the thread is from? right now that shows up as 'cave diving' whether the thread is from the open part or the closed part. i glance there to avoid blindly posting in the dir threads, for instance.

if you navigate by the forum jump at the bottom, you'd know where you were, but the 'new' doesn't tag that way.

exactly! fixed. thanks so much!

I see. I don't click New Posts here. I just don't have the time for it, so I only visit the forums I'm interested in. I also don't see myself posting any differently whether I'm here or in the open forum.
