Yea thats a uhm....nifty little item there.Bet it works good with force fins.Ill let you buy one first and you can tell the rest of us how good it works. :D You can always run it by JJ and GI3 to see if it can be used as an alternative to bp&wings :mean:

Man, I should buy those two and show up at my DIR-F class next weekend like that just to see what they'd say.

Oh, man... I'd pay to see the looks on their faces.

"Ha! I'm SeaJay. I know dat y'all don't allow for dem dere split fins, so I gave 'em to my brother Darryl and bought me some a-'dese fancy ones..." <Pulling on pull dump while testing integrated octo.> "Let's get in dat water, boah!" <Jumps into the deep end and immediately sinks to the bottom.>

I double dog dare you to do that and be sure to post pictures of the looks on their faces..... :D Just a little hint be sure to paint it all black first,who knows maybe they wont notice........lol.

Look under Maritime Counter terrorist. They have a compressed air driven grapple hook. If GI3 knew about this, I'm sure it would become standard equipment.

ROTFLMAO!

I'm going BDG. ("Buddy Double Gold.")

(Notice the high-tech air integrated octo, by the way... And yes, it even has a pull dump.)

Interestingly, these guys also offer Force Fins...

In the old days these things were the norm. I still have one from U.S. Divers kicking around somewhere, complete with the airsource octo.

When I first started diving I bought used gear that dated out of the mid-70's (I started diving in 1984/5). It included a horse-collar BCD like this one, which I used with a drysuit for redundant buoyancy. It was small, out of the way and light. Absolutely perfect. :) The rest of my gear was an AL 80 with a J valve, a tri-lam drysuit (one of the first on the market where I lived, in fact mine was a prototype that I got a good discount :) and an Auqalung Aquarius (ca 1974, unbalanced piston). It only had 3 ports, 2lp and 1 hp. The LP ports were for the drysuit and reg and the hp for the spg (which I still have on my reg today). Hence the need for the airsource.

And jetfins, of course, which I ended up giving away and replacing with a pair of cheap plastic fins from Dacor (which I still have) because the jets were too heavy and dragged my feet down.

Makes me all nostalgic and misty-eyed. :) Made all kinds of dives to 40+ metres on this stuff too.

Holy moley...

I mean, I'm not to make fun of anyone's gear, but c'mon!

<sarcasm mode on>

Let's see... I'm interested in some really "state of the art" diving gear... I think I need...

1. Some Low Magnetic Fins. ( http://www.divex.co.uk/military_low_mag_fins.html )

2. Some Low Magnetic Neoprene in my suit. ( http://www.divex.co.uk/military_lm_neoprene.html ) (C'mon... How much "magnetism" do you think there really is in neoprene?)

3. The ultimate redneck BC... In camoflage. ( http://www.divex.co.uk/Military_Shadow_jacket.html ) Man, the guys would go nuts about this here in South Carolina.

4. A Buddy Line. ( http://www.divex.co.uk/Military_Buddy_Lines.html ) Oh yeah, my buddy's shot, and now I'm tethered to a dead body. All while in...

5. VSW (Very Shallow Water.) Oh, yes, ladies and gentlemen... You've heard about it... Now we actually have an acronymn for it! ( http://www.divex.co.uk/military_stealth_eod_&vsw_rebreather.html )

6. BASSCA: Forget SCUBA! Go BASSCA! ( http://www.divex.co.uk/military_BASSCA.html )

7. The whopping thirteen inch "Navy Knife." Okay, I love my pigsticker, but this is rediculous. Next thing they're going to offer is going to be a sword! ( http://www.divex.co.uk/Military_Navy_knife.html )

8. The incredibly technologically advanced POWERLIFT BUOYANCY JACKET. ( http://www.divex.co.uk/Military_POWERLIFT_BUOYANCY.html ) I think that my LDS has these for rent, if you'd like to try them out first.

9. The latest thing to tick off your GUE instructor... Extra padding! ( http://www.divex.co.uk/Military_Mine_clearance_diver.html )

Whoo, boy. My sides are hurting. Best is, they even sell a rebreather. I dunno about that one... Anyone wanna give it a try to see if it'll support life? Not me. I'm not buying anything from anyone who sells "Low Magnetic Neoprene."

I dunno about the air-powered grappling hook... ( http://www.divex.co.uk/military_grapple_hook.html ) Ever since I got one for my G.I. Joe when I was a kid, I've always wanted one for me. :D GI3 would be proud! (Okay, so G.I. Joe would be, anyway.)

Can you imagine showing up to a dive with your buddies, holding that thing in your hands? How unbelievably bizarre... ("Y'all, I'm SICK AND TIRED of these 'ere currents! Ain't no TIDE takin' ME downstream!")

I think I'm going to have to pass, though... After seeing the picture of this guy ( http://www.divex.co.uk/military_thinbear.html ), who looks like he's seen a bit too much radiation in the engine room of the nuclear sub, I'm afraid to get a package from him.

Oh, man... You think these guys had a booth at DEMA?

</sarcasm mode off>

I'm dying laughing over here. "Double dog dare me?" ROFLMAO!!!

Oh, man... How can I turn that down??

Anyone in/around Atlanta that has some of this "high tech" gear they'd like to lend for next weekend?

I've been double dog dared!

If y'all produce it, I'll do it. :D I swear. :p
