Hey. What's a good lunch to have between dives? Someone told me a bowl of rice or something high in carbs. I don't like to feel weighed down during the second dive. What do you guys tend to eat on a diving day? I've found that chips work well too cos it's not too much protein to digest.

Anything and everything :D
I don't eat a lot in one go, so a slice of pizza is my favorite. Hard to get out on liveaboards though :(

I think I'd have to starve, or eat sand.

I like fruit, though you need to be aware as it doesn't settle very well for some people. Maybe a cookie or two, too many and it can bring on some dry mouth issues.

I also like a hot cup of chocolate or fruit tea.

A hot cup of soup - I'll even take those instant pack ones (skip the noodles!), if I don't have homemade.

A thermos with boiling water and a travel mug are standard equipment when I head out for a dive - no matter the season. It's there if I need it and if I don't, no biggie.

A big bottle of cool water - frozen in the summer to thaw between dives - is also an essential.

For me fluids are more important than solids.

A nice big bottle of water. Maybe an apple, a granola bar or a handful of trail mix if I eat anything.

I agree with alcina. For me fluids are much more important than solids too. (I drink like 1 or 1.5 litres of water in between dives)
