Free dive solo is more dangerous than scuba dive solo. IMHO.

Well, the diving didn't happen... no buddy... :-( Got in some great snorkeling though. The shallow part of the wall is pretty awesome going all the way out, and inside the notch there, I saw a big bait-ball of silvery fish - juvenile Stripers, maybe? I almost forgot that I was in Mass., and not the Carib.

There were lots of adult Stripers on display too.

The water was 70 on the surface (I took a dive computer). I did it without a suit for 45 minutes - no problem. It was almost as good as (and in some ways better than) a dive...
 
yeah, I've heard you can actually passout if you overdo it freediving. but this is from the guy who can't get much deeper that 15-18ft with a snorkel!! and even then I'm not down long at all.
 
i freedive alone but no more than like 20 feet, just dont wana risk anything.

And yes, the water is especially cold at the bottom, WITHOUT a suit on.. i did the 45 foot wall freedive without any suit on and burrrrrr
