Hi,
I had my first dive ever this morning, and it was awesome!
The dive was a basic "baptism" dive:
Now, I booked another dive tomorrow morning (24 hours later), more or less the same thing:
But I'm concerned about getting the bends as I'm flying 12 hours after the dive tomorrow.
From what I've read, you should ideally wait 12 hours after a single dive, and 18 hours after multiple dives, but does this hold even for these kinds of short and shallow dives?
Btw, I'm drinking lots of water right now to hydrate.
Thanks!

Okey, so combining this:

With this:

(edit, more recent version: http://www.ndc.noaa.gov/pdfs/Rev_6_495.pdf)
It appears my first dive at max 10 feet for less than 60 minutes would put me in group A, which is 0:00 wait time across the board, even for 10K feet.
The (possible) followup dive would be 24 hours later, 20 feet max, and less than 50 minutes, putting me in group B, which has 0:00 wait time for 8K and 9K, but two hours for 10K.
Seems 12 hours should be plenty if I only had that last dive, but I'm curious how the first dive affects the chart/calculation. The first dive has 0:00 wait time across the board, indicating the nitrogen levels in my body should be very low or all gone 24 hours later, but I'm not sure. I tried interpreting this chart:
http://www.ndc.noaa.gov/forms/New_NOAA_Air_Deco_Tables_2008.pdf
But I couldn't really follow the arrow and numbers, and the chart starts at 40 feet, which is way deeper than in my case. Could someone help me interpret the updated chart?
Thanks! :cool2:

- 30 minutes at 10 feet

- 45 minutes at 15-20 feet
