What is the wave height at which Gulf Diving will cancel the trip? The marine forecast is showing 2-3 ft Wednesday through the weekend.

You should be good to go at 2-3 ft. I believe they cancel around 5 ft because reboarding with the ladders becomes very dangerous. So don't worry about the inshore forecasts. You need to be watching about 100 miles offshore.

Grr. Cancelled.

Not because of weather...but because they didn't have enough people.

6 foot waves. They also take into account how close they are together.

15 kt wind will do it too.

A summer trip not full??? Wow. That's suprising.

It was a Thursday/Friday trip. Gulf Diving said there were only 11 spaces sold.

wow that is a low number.

Sorry to hear your trip was cancelled. I wish I could take more trips because June is a great time to go but the shop is in the busy season right now and days off are hard to come by much less three in a row!

Here's a link to the FG buoy LINK Look at Marine Forecast 1.

Thanks TwoBit, I didn't know about the 15kt wind.
