I'm on my way down to Florida to dive the Vandenburg next Monday, I might be down for the sinking but I doubt it. Will any one else be down there? I will post a report when I'm back!!!

I wish!!

Have a great time and can't wait for your report!!

Well I was able to dive the Vandenburg as planned on Monday with Key West Divers. The ship went down as planned and she is sitting upright. My max depth was 92ft and vis was around 80ft. I was told the currents were running around 3kts and on our day they were around 1 1/2- 2 kts. Water temps were high 70's at depth. The dive was a nice dive but it was done as a hand hold session with the DM calling the shots. I took lp95's down with me which were a waste since we turned the dive according to the divers with 80's. I would not go back out with them because of this reason, I hope they learn to let divers dive and try to pair them with their same experience. There was 0 penetration and it was a quick 12 min. I also figured that they would choose to do a second dive there and wait out the surface interval but they took us to a shallow reef for some off gassing. It was a nice dive but the shop was not set up to handle the different divers. I will go back but will make sure I am able to dive how I want.
