That's a good question. Since it's illegal to take fish while on a rebreather, it's probably illegal to lobster while on a rebreather also. :tree: Bob

The regs do not specify. I would think that it would be ok to take lobster on a rebreather as they are normally in the rocks anyway.

As per the big dawgs at Fish& Game lobstering is totaly leagal in the state of florida on rebreathers. I got some nice deep spots picked out for mini season.

Ahhh, theres the rub,in deeper watewrs you may well be in Fed waters. In the Keys or north of Jupiter/St Lucie you will be in Fed waters.NMFS has a usually more lenient approach to U/W hunting tho.

What part of Florida do you plan to bug out?

Do you want some company?

I'm in the Florida Panhandle

I live in Texas and a friend wants me to come visit for a few days. Nothing I can think of would make it a better trip than to bag a few oversized Crawfish.

Regular season ended on 3/31. There is a two day miniseason at the end of July (a web search will reveal those details for you) and the next regular season begins August 6th (I think). Everyone needs to know the rules were just changed for 2003. The six bugs/diver OR 24/boat is finished, it's six/diver only now. There may also be some other changes.
