I am traveling to Miami area Dec 19 and looking to do some diving with my family.
Any recommendations in the Keys?

What are you looking for? I suggest going into the Florida Keys section of this board. Tons of specific info for you there! Welcome to the board!

Conch Republic Divers in Tavernier, Great staff, Boats and dive sites
I seconded that...great outfit down there.

In short, in Key Largo you have the John Pennekamp State park worth checkin' out, but I found the diving better around Looe Key and Key West. You can get nice full day trips out to the Bahamas out of Islamorada and out to Dry Tortugas from Key West. I could easily spend two weeks bouncing around from key to key diving....I loved the diving there growing up...I'm sure it hasn't changed!;):D

Key Largo is considered by many the best diving in the keys - i personaly used quiscience dive operations and will use them everytime - it was the best boat trip i have ever taken - 6 pack boat with plenty of room - you have say so about where to dive - awesome, friendly captins - and best of all it was so laid back and relaxing - no hurry up and get in or out - everything was take your time and enjoy your diving - it was great!!!!

Conch, Ocean Divers, Quiescence...

Cheers.
