Damn, 4 in as many days?! Rough news...

Joey, sorry for the loss of your associate. I'm sure he son was frantic - watching his dad slip away like that.

Weight belts are less common now days, but that's something to certainly watch in ourselves and others we may be assisting. If removing the gear in the water, the weight belt needs to come off first. I can only speculate that when a divers falls back in with belt but not BC, some are going to panic, fighting to get up - rather than dropping the belt. Just a guess.

I do hope others of us can learn from the losses of these divers.
