Florida Keys Coral Spawning 2014 - Suggestions?

While I've had the privilege of catching some of our more spectacular annual events in South Florida - the goliath spawning, the lemon shark run - I've never actually gone out and done a night dive during the coral spawning in the Keys. That's coming up this month, correct? Anyone have suggestions for when and where to go, and with which operators?

full moon for august is the 10th. I provided a link from CRF's activity calendar in which they depict possible spawning dates. a quick search displayed 2 operators(could be others) in the upper keys that are doing specific night coral spawning charters on the 12th, 15th and 16th. not positive but I heard no spawning anticipated in sept.

Which operations did you find that had charters scheduled? I'm thinking the 16th; sadly I'm a working schlub and my 40-hour week has gone out the window trying to keep pace with the summer rush.

We are going to try a spawning dive at LBTS tomorrow and maybe Friday nite. There is a small but nice hard coral reef there which has potential.

Shucks, didn't see this until today. I was on a field assignment in Sebastian that week anyway, mapping the seagrass on the shoals around the inlet. I checked on Amoray's schedule, but getting back to the dock at midnight on a Sunday or weeknight was a nonstarter for me. If I hear any good opportunities to catch the coral spawning I'll be interested, but right now I'm shifting my sights to the goliath aggregation.
